Payment Information

We currently accept two forms of payment: agency payment and private payment.  We do not accept insurance at this time. Below are details of fees for services.

Balance MI-Skills is a vendor for Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP).

​

  • If you are a client of MRS or BSBP and planning for them to fund any services provided by Balance MI-Skills, you must have an open case and approved authorization with one of these agencies before receiving any group, one-on-one, employment, or other services. Balance MI-Skills does not determine eligibility or do referrals to MRS or BSBP.  Eligibility for services is determined by MRS or BSBP.  Please be aware: Balance MI-Skills does not determine or guarantee MRS service eligibility or funding for services through our organization.

  • Contact your MRS counselor if you have questions.

  • Go to the MRS or BSBP website if you have questions about eligibility, to find out more about vocational rehabilitation, or to find your MRS or BSBP office.

Private Pay-In Person

​

If you are paying directly for services, below is a breakdown. Payment must be made prior to engaging in services. Contact Balance MI-Skills if you have questions.

  • RISE Program (Session1-Foundations is required unless other arrangements have been made)

    • I. Foundations for Communications Group (6 weeks, two 2-hour meetings per week, total 24 hours): $500

    • II. Self-Advocacy Group (6 weeks, two 2-hour meetings per week, total 24 hours): $500

    • III. Employment Readiness Group (6 weeks, two 2-hour meetings per week, total 24 hours)

 

  • Communication Basics (6 weeks, two 1-1/2 hour group meetings per week, total 18 hours): $400

    • Adaptive Skills for Basics : (6 weeks, two 1-1/2 hour group meetings per week, total 18 hours): $400

    • Adaptive Skills for Basics 2: (6 weeks, two 1-1/2 hour group meetings per week, total 18 hours): $400

 

  • College Readiness Group (6 weeks, two 2-hour meetings per week, total 24 hours)

    • Group rate: $500​

    • Indivdiual rate: $80/session

 

  • KEYS (for individuals who have been in past programming only): $50 per 3-hour event and includes food, staff time, and event costs). AGAIN:  Keys is only available to individuals who have participated in our programming and are required to pay for their own attendance. If payment is made and you are not a past client, we will not accept payment.

  • One-on-Ones: $80/session (approximately 1 hour): includes tailored sessions for social communication, soft skills, executive function, transportation training, college readiness, self-advocacy, self-regulation, or other services as needed.

  • Online Group

    • Foundations for Communications (6 weeks, two 1-1/2 hour group meetings per week, total 18 hours): $400

  • Professional Development and other service requests, please contact us for pricing.

Balance MI-Skills reserves the right to determine individual participation and change fees and costs for participation at any time.

PRIVATE PAY:  PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO ATTENDING CLASSES, INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS, OR EVENTS. OTHER PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE HANDLED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS.​​​​
